Pre-register Online at AlpineSurgery.com. Click the pink button in the upper right-hand corner and you'll be guided through the registration process. It takes about a half hour, but you can stop, save your information, and then come back and finish when you can.
Schedule with Procedure Coordinator. When scheduling your procedure appointment, your coordinator will review your medical history, current medications and other pertinent information. The procedure coordinator will also review any pre-procedure instructions with you at this time.
On Blood Thinners? If you are on medication that is a blood thinner, it is important you make your provider aware of this well before your procedure. Please do so as soon as you have an office visit to schedule your procedure.
Arrange for Interpreter if Needed. If you are a non-English speaking person, please inform us ahead of time. If you can provide an interpreter with whom you feel comfortable hearing private information, please make arrangements for the interpreter to be available for telephone calls with Alpine Surgery Center and to accompany you on the date of surgery or procedure. Otherwise, other arrangements for interpretation will be made.
Make Driver Arrangements. Fill out and bring with you the Post- Procedure Driver Arrangements form. You will need a responsible adult to accompany you after the procedure UNLESS other arrangements are approved by the physician prior to the procedure. (See form for details.)
Pregnant? If you are or could be pregnant, please notify us prior to your arrival. Several peri-op medications and possible proximity to the use of radiation may cause harm to a developing pregnancy and your appointment may need to be rescheduled
Complete Lab Tests. If an EKG or lab tests have been ordered by your physician, please make sure they are completed prior to your procedure. When to Stop Medications: 7 days prior to your procedure, do NOT take aspirin, blood thinners or anti-inflammatories unless otherwise instructed by your physician. If you have had a recent flu shot or are on antibiotics or sick, please discuss with your physician.
